Welcome to my new site-hooray-at last ! This showcases my jazz band and my harp work and provides links to various associated sites.

I hope it is clear and concise. Feedback is very welcome!

The Blue Cafe Band was born through the release of ‘The Blue Cafe ‘ CD which is an album of original blues/jazz. You can see my myspace.com/magdalenareising .

As a gigging jazz band,we play originals and standards which enables us to play at weddings and corporate events as well as jazz clubs,arts centres and festivals.

My Blue Cafe duo consists of myself on vocals and Christopher Page on piano or myself on vocals/guitar/piano and Steve Thompson on double bass and guitar , the trio adds Christopher Page on piano,the quartet has Alex Eberhard on percussion/drums and a host of invited guests make up our fabulous quintet.It’s an absolute delight to be playing with such fine musicians and we are flattered to have received such excellent international reviews! The other side of the coin is my harp -playing, both solo and with other musicians.A lady asked me last week at her 100th birthday party-do you play swing so I can dance? I laughed and said that she should book the jazz band next time, however they clapped along very happily to an irish jig!
Later I asked what her secret is for ageing so well, she answered,’a sense of humour’.I think I can go along with that one.
